Comparison

Send NDA and Docusign.

Docusign signs almost any document, for one person or a whole company, with paid plans and a free trial. Send NDA sends one kind of document, a non-disclosure agreement both sides sign online, and it's free.

Price

Send NDA

Free.

Docusign

A free trial: 'No credit card required'. Paid eSignature plans, on a one-year term paid monthly: Personal at $11 a month, an annual commitment of $132, with 5 envelopes a month; Standard at $30 and Business Pro at $45 per user a month.21
What you need to send

Send NDA

One form: your name, email and postal address, and the recipient's name and email address. No account or password. You confirm your email address through a link valid for 15 minutes, or send from your account without that step.

Docusign

A Docusign account: 'Create a free account to start using this Docusign template now'. After the trial the account 'downgrades to a Free account', which Docusign describes as 'for anyone who signs documents and wants to keep them stored in Docusign'. For the NDA template: 'You will need to switch to a laptop, tablet, or desktop'.34
What the recipient needs

Send NDA

No sign-up or password. They open their own link, add their postal address, say whether they sign for a company or as a person, and sign.

Docusign

Recipients 'do not need an account to sign with Docusign'. The agreement arrives by email from [email protected].1
NDA template

Send NDA

One template whose wording follows your answers: one-way or mutual, a purpose, four optional clauses (non-use and non-solicitation, non-circumvent, a penalty for a breach, group companies), and a term and a confidentiality period of 1 to 5 years each. The law of the country you send from governs it, narrowed to your state, province or part of the UK where that country asks for one.

Docusign

A free template that 'supports both unilateral NDAs (one party disclosing) and mutual NDAs (both parties sharing information)', 'ready to fill out and sign online using Docusign'. Updated 18 October 2026.3
Signing evidence

Send NDA

Every step goes into a log in which each event's hash covers the one before. The signed PDF is sealed with its SHA-256 and comes with a separate signing certificate. The hashes are stamped with OpenTimestamps and anchored in a Bitcoin block. Anyone can check a copy on the verify page, free and without an account.

Docusign

A Certificate of Completion for every envelope, with each signer's 'IP address and other identifying information, signature image, and key event timestamps', and an audit trail of envelope events. Every document is 'digitally sealed with the industry-standard technology, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)'.56
AI-tools clause

Send NDA

Every agreement says what the receiving party may do with AI tools, at one of three levels: no AI tools, tools that don't train on the information (the default), or any tool. At every level, the receiving party may not train a model on it.

Docusign

The template 'includes the essential components of a standard confidentiality agreement: definitions of confidential information, obligations of the receiving party, terms of confidentiality, exclusions, and legal remedies for breach'.3
MCP or API access

Send NDA

An MCP server at sendnda.com/mcp with nine tools: list, read, send, amend, resend and delete NDAs, fill in your details on one you received, sign when you say so, and read the docs. It connects over OAuth from Claude and ChatGPT, or with an API token for your own scripts, which opens the same MCP server and speaks MCP rather than plain REST.

Docusign

An MCP server with official connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Perplexity and Slackbot. Your account administrator enables MCP access in the Admin Console, and your AI platform's administrator allows the tools. Workflow Builder and Agreement Manager tools need an IAM subscription. REST and SOAP APIs, with 'Industry-leading APIs' in the plan table from Business Pro up. Documents from a Developer account are 'for demonstration purposes only' and watermarked: 'They are not valid contracts.'78614

Fair is fair

Where Docusign is stronger.

  1. 01

Any document, your own NDA included

Docusign sends almost any file for signature, '.doc, .docx, .pdf, .xls, xlsx, .txt and many others'. If your lawyer wrote your NDA, you send that one. Send NDA sends its own template, and its wording follows the form.

  2. 02

    More signers, set in order

Docusign routes an envelope to several signers 'in serial, parallel and mixed sequencing', with automated email reminders. A Send NDA agreement has two parties, and the sender resends the link by hand.

  3. 03

    Checking who signs

Docusign can ask a signer for an access code, an SMS code, a phone call, answers to knowledge-based questions or a government ID, and its Enhanced plans list advanced (AeS) and qualified (QeS) electronic signatures under eIDAS. Send NDA records how each party signed in: through the link in their email, a passkey, a session or a token.

  4. 04

    A seal inside the PDF

Docusign seals every document with PKI, a seal that 'indicates the electronic signature is valid and that the document has not been tampered with after it was downloaded'. Send NDA checks a copy on its own verify page, against the hash in its record.

  5. 05

    Reach and certifications

Docusign signs in 44 languages, is used 'in more than 180 countries and territories', holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II, and lists 1.000+ integrations. Send NDA adds a text in a party's own language beside the English in seven languages, where that party's country asks for it.

What Send NDA adds

An NDA, signed today, for free.

  1. 01

Free, with nothing to set up

You send from one form after one confirmation email, with no plan, envelope count or password. The recipient needs only a name and an email address from you, and fills in the rest when they sign.

  2. 02

    Written for the conversation

You pick one-way or mutual and the clauses you want, and the law of the country you send from governs it. The recipient's own country can only narrow the agreement, and before you countersign you see what their details changed, clause by clause.

  3. 03

    A clause on AI tools

Every agreement says whether the receiving party may paste your information into an AI tool. The default matches how business AI plans are sold: no training on the input, no sharing beyond the provider's subprocessors, and retention only to run the service and watch it for abuse.

  4. 04

    Evidence anyone can check

Every NDA keeps a chained log, a sealed PDF and a separate certificate, their hashes anchored in a Bitcoin block through OpenTimestamps. Upload a copy on the verify page and it says whether the file is, byte for byte, the PDF both parties signed. It needs no account.

  5. 05

    Your assistant sends it

Add sendnda.com/mcp as a connector in Claude, sign in with your email address and approve the consent screen. Your assistant can then send an NDA, fill in your details on one you received, and sign it when you tell it to.
